PERSONAL WORKS

I am a Kabul-born filmmaker and photographer raised in Geneva, trained in La Habana and currently living in Istanbul.

I share my time between personal projects and some commissioned works. The former include three short fictions [Goliath (2006); The Staff Room (2009); Petites Routines (2019)] and a documentary [In Absentia (2011)].

I finished shooting my first feature fiction, Yaban, in September 2018 — with the financial support from Swiss public broadcasting organisation RTS and Geneva-based Cineforom foundation. The film editing process has begun in November of the same year.
